Salicylic acid is an effective option for the treatment of whiteheads and pimples. Salicylic acid works by removing the outermost layer of the skin and unclogging the pores. Salicylic acid for whiteheads is available in various forms such as cream, lotion, gel, pads, and topical solutions.

Salicylic acid is also used for the treatment of other conditions such as corns, calluses, warts, psoriasis, and dandruff.

Whiteheads are caused due to overproduction of oil, dead skin cells, and the build up of bacteria in a pore. Our hair follicles contain glands which produce oil to lubricate the hair and skin.
