Steps Involved in Eyebrows Waxing:

  • Buy a professional waxing kit which usually contains a jar of wax which can be warmed up in boiling water, applied with a spatula i.e. a small applicator and removed by removal strips.
  • Preparing your eyebrows: Preparing your brows involves brushing your brows with a mascara wand or a baby toothbrush to define their natural shape, working with the length and curve of your brows.
  • Apply an astringent to numb the sensitive skin under your brow.
  • Now warm up the wax to an optimal temperature, then with the help of the spatula apply a thin layer of wax liberally on the extra hair in the direction of hair growth.
  • As soon as you have finished applying the wax remove it against the hair growth. Do this gently by smoothing a piece of removal strip over the waxed area. Pull your skin taut with one hand and pull the off with your other hand.
  • After the process is done apply a soothing balm like tea tree oil or rub ice on the area to reduce swelling or redness.
  • If any unwanted hair left after waxing, you can pluck it with the help of tweezers.

  • For the first few times, get it done under professional supervision.
  • Carefully follow the usage directions mentioned.
  • While applying wax take small amount by the spatula to avoid wax dripping on your eyes.
  • If you have thick hair, remove a little hair at a time.
  • Never wax above your eyebrows.
  • With an eyebrow pencil define your newly shaped brows.
  • If you have removed the necessary hair, don’t worry and fill the gaps with eyebrow pencil. Next time you can make it perfect as the hair will grow before you could know it!!!
  • You can prevent in grown hairs easily by cleansing the area with a toner. Do it immediately after waxing.
  • You can determine your brow length by holding a ruler parallel to your nose, level it with the inner corner of your eye to find out where the brow should start and mark the point with the brow pencil.
  • For people with wide set eyes; the gap between the brows should be closer while for those with close set eyes; the gap between the brows should be left wider.
  • To find out the curve and the highest point of your brow arch, hold a ruler at the tip of your nose and mark it with using brow pencil.
  • Be sure to avoid direct sunlight, liquid make ups, and acid based facial treatments for several hours.
